SICKLEBILL SAFARIS DISCLAIMERS AND CANCELLATION POLICY

TRIP CANCELLATION & MEDICAL EMERGENCY INSURANCE:

We strongly recommend you consider purchasing trip cancellation (including medical emergency and medivac) insurance to cover your investment in case of injury or illness to you or your family prior to or during a trip.  Because we must remit early (and substantial) tour deposits to our suppliers, we cannot offer a refund when a cancellation occurs within 90 days of travel. Please note that the deposit is refundable up to 120 days before travel less a 10% handling fee. Full payment is due 120 days before travel. 50% of the tour cost is refundable between 117 and 90 days before date of departure. Thereafter all deposits and payments are not refundable unless we have to withdraw the tour.

RESPONSIBILITY

For and in consideration of the opportunity to participate in the tour, each tour participant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Sicklebill Safaris (hereafter referred to as SS), their agents, servants, employees, shareholders, officers, directors, attorneys, and contractors. SS acts only as an agent for the passenger in regard to travel, whether by railroad, motorcar, motorcoach, boat, aeroplane, or other means, and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity caused by defect in such vehicles or for any reason whatsoever, including the acts, defaults, or bankruptcies of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour. SS accepts no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, weather, strike, war, quarantine, or other causes.  The tour participant shall bear all such losses and expenses. SS reserves the right to substitute hotels of similar category for those indicated and to make any changes in the itinerary where deemed necessary for whatever reason. SS reserves the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of any tour.  Baggage is at owner’s risk entirely.

Participants should be in good health and should consult a physician before undertaking a tour. This is a tour with some hiking in mountainous areas. If you have questions about the physical requirements of a tour, please contact our office for further information. Participants should prepare for the tour by reading the detailed itinerary, the information bulletin, and other pertinent matter provided by Sicklebill Safaris.  Each participant is responsible for bringing appropriate clothing and equipment as recommended in our bulletins.

INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

The undersigned while participating in any activities provided by Sicklebill Safaris hereby agree to indemnify Sicklebill Safaris, their officers or employees, agents or servants from and against all liabilities for any property damage, personal injury, loss or wrongful death sustained by the undersigned in the course of or in connection with any activity organised by Sicklebill Safaris.

The undersigned agrees that under no circumstances will he/she or his/her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns prosecute, present any claim for personal injury, property damage or wrongful death against Sicklebill Safaris or any of its officers, employees, agents or servants for any said cause of action whether the same shall arise by the negligence of any said persons or otherwise.

FINANCIAL PROTECTION  

Sicklebill Safaris Ltd is a company committed to customer satisfaction and consumer financial protection. We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with ” The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018” all passengers booking with Sicklebill Safaris Ltd are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation form. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Sicklebill Safaris Ltd.  This insurance has been arranged by The Travel Vault in conjunction with Towergate Travel through Zurich Insurance PLC.

CLAIMS

In the unlikely event of Insolvency, you must Inform Towergate Travel immediately on +44 (0) 1932 334140 or by email at tcs@towergate.co.uk.Please ensure you retain the booking confirmation form as evidence of cover and value.

Policy exclusions: This policy will not cover any monies paid for Travel Insurance.
